I've been out of the truck game for a while so I'm not totally up to date on what equipment all the young whippersnappers are using nowadays to lift their bro trucks.
This giant spacer just struck me as being overly cheap/shortcutting. Or am I wrong? Like I said, it's been a long, long time since I tinkered with a lift kit.

More common than you want to imagine. At least they didn't shove 30 rubbers between the springs to lift it.

Yeah, it seems wrong to me too, but I dunno :/

Bro truck probably.
Real off-roaders would never do something like that. Just think of how much less dampener movement you would have.

I've seen way worse, but I wouldn't do that on my truck. Spacers are ok for 2 inch lifts but thats a bit much.

Spring spacers aren't uncommon but that's monstrous. Usually the are an inch or two not 6. Completely impedes any flex.

Oh, it's DEFINITELY a bro truck. I'll be featuring it on Monday's trade-in post... which was going to be an occasional thing but now I seem to be doing it every day.

Herein is the genius of that as a lift option: keeps stock (read: mall-crawling) suspension rate and stiffness. Perfect for the lifted truck that never leaves asphalt. IOW, pointless with a point.

Don't need damper movement when all your off roading involves curb jumping, bro.

Wouldn't that lift affect suspension geometry?
